Iran short animation ‘Light Sight’ has been honored at two international film festivals in the US and Italy.
Iranian director Seyyed Moslem Tabatabaee’s short received the Best International Student Film award from the 1st Sunrise 45 Film Festivallocated in the US town of Alpena in northeastern Michigan from August 18-20.
‘Light Sight’ also brought home second prize as well as another award from the international short film section of the 1st International Luci Della Ribalta Film Fest located in the Italian city of Terni from August 25-27.
The Italian event also gifted the Renato Church Special Award-Music and Images to the movie.
‘Light Sight’ is the story of a creature named M.E. who is enamored by a white light outside of its room.
“The animation has one character and one setting,” Tabatabaee told the media earlier on, adding, “The character tries to escape from the room to get to the light he sees outside.”
The 3D animation has already won awards at scores of international festivals.
It is scheduled to compete in the Marietta International Film Festival in the American state of Georgia on September 9 and 10.
