Bulgaria filmfest to display Iran films

Two Iranian short films are scheduled to be screened at the ninth edition of Sofia Menar Filmfest in Bulgaria.

Short films ‘Track’ directed by Reza Golchin and Sahar Khoshcheshman’s ‘Angels Are Dead’ are to compete at the short films section of the festival.

‘Track’ shows the paths to schools in Talesh city mountains in north of Iran.

‘Angels Are Dead’ tries to manifest that friends are always friends. The friendship can’t be ignored even if friends live in separate worlds.

The two films are to compete with short films from Turkey, Morocco, Lebanon, Switzerland, France, Kyrgyzstan and Algeria.

Sofia MENAR Film Festival makes Bulgarian audience familiar with the culture and traditions of the Islamic world, the website of the festival wrote.

The program of Sofia MENAR Film Festival presents the best of Middle East and North Africa cinema productions, including feature films, documentaries and short projects.

The event is to be launched on January 12 – 29, 2017 in Bulgaria.
