Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival in Australia is to host world premiere of Iran short film ‘The Hair’.
The event slated for October 5-8 will show Babak Habibifar’s new short film at the Africa and Middle East section.
'The Cat and I' (2015) directed by the same helmer won a prize at a previous edition of the fest.
“A man on a motorcycle is waiting in front of an all-girls school in Iran. The school’s janitor knows him,” a short synopsis for the film teases.
Among the film key cast include Mina Vahid, Samira Masoudi and Arad Khosravi.
"Nestled within the golden hills of Gympie, housed in the grand auditorium of the Civic Centre, is the loveliest film festival in Australia. Running from 5-8 October 2017, Heart of Gold programs carefully-crafted short films from around the world that deeply resonate with the viewer," the event's official website says.
