Two Iranian graphic designers have won awards at a graphic competition dubbed ‘Graphis 2017’ in the US.
Mehdi Mahdian and Touraj Saberivand’s works received awards at the poster section of the event.
Winning the Silver Award, Mahdian’s poster titled ‘Scope of Meaning’ was designed for an innovative exhibition of Persian calligraphy and sculpture in Tehran.
Saberivand’s poster ‘Freedom of Language,’ a symbolic combination of a dove (symbol of peace and freedom) and a pen (the very first and simplest tool of a journalist) won the Merit Award.
Graphis is committed to presenting and promoting the work of exceptional talent in Graphic Design, Advertising, Photography and Art/Illustration, the website of the annual event wrote.
In addition to the Platinum, Gold and Silver winners, Graphis also embraces rising talent, all of whom have an equal Archive presentation.
