The eminent Iranian vocalist Mohammad Motamedi is planning to perform music program at the 7th Errichetta Music Festival in the Italian capital, Rome.
He will present songs by Persian poets Attar and Rumi along with Iranian music group, Dousti ensemble, on January 13.
The ensemble includes Pouya (kamancheh), Mani (ney), Nima (setar), Arman Sigarchi (oud) and Reza Samani (percussion).
Motamedi will also hold a workshop on the art of ‘Avaz’ (Persian traditional singing) and Persian classical music on January 15.
Born in 1978, Motamedi performed several concerts in Iran and some other countries that were warmly received.
He held Extemporization concert in theatre of Paris, concert in historical Palace of Versailles and concert in Music Conservator Rome-Italy.
Motamedi also participated in International Festival of Sufi Music in Karachi, Pakistan and also received the 2013 France Musique World Music Award
This year’s Errichetta Music Festival is slated for January 13-15.
