Iran shorts to compete at BIAFF

3 Iranian short films have been scheduled to be screened at the 12th edition of Butami International Film Festival in Georgia.

‘Retouch’ directed by Kaveh Mazaheri , ‘Gaze’ directed by Farnoosh Samadi, ‘Voice’ directed by Arturan Najafi Gol will represent Iran at the competition section of the event.

The aim of the festival is to provide an opportunity for the filmmakers, producers, and the critics to exchange knowledge and experience.

‘Retouch’ is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

 ‘Gaze’ depicts the story of a woman who on her way back home learns about an incident on the bus. She is undecided whether to reveal the issue or not.

‘Voice’ tells the story of an old man who snores every night. His wife who is an old woman can not sleep well. She decides to solve the problem but unintentionally complicates the situation.

Batumi International Art-House Film Festival (BIAFF) was established in 2006, Georgia. The mission of BIAFF is to be an international event designed to enhance cultural exchange, understanding, and collaboration through the screening of new art house-house and non-commercial films from Georgia and abroad.

The 12th edition of the event is slated for September 17-24, 2017.
