A committee selected by Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation has shortlisted 10 films as potential Oscar submissions.
An evaluation committee comprised of nine film experts selected by Farabi Cinema Foundation shortlisted 10 Iranian films as the country's potential candidates for submission to the 90th edition of Oscar Academy Awards.
The shortlist includes:

‘Subdued’ by Hamid Nematollah
‘Villa Residents’ by Monir Qeidi
‘My Brother Khosrow’ by Ehsan Biglari
‘Breath’ by Narges Abyar
‘Red Nail Polish’ by Seyyed Jamal Seyyed-Hatami
'A House on 41st Street' by Hamidreza Qorbani
'Malaria' by Parviz Shahbazi
‘Twenty-One Days Later’ by Mohammadreza Kheradmandan
‘The Midday Event’ by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian
The 90th Academy Awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, California on March 4, 2018.
The deadline for submissions is October 2, and the Academy will announce the accepted eligible films at a later date.
