Iran virtuoso to make music for Hatamikia

Acclaimed Iranian virtuoso, Karen Homayounfar is to compose the music for Ebrahima Hatamikia’s ‘Flight in the Levant Time’.

Karen Homayounfar who is making the music for a series by Behrang Tofighi, will soon join Hatamikia’s crew, Wednesday media report said, adding the shooting of Hatamikia’s latest project has been finished and the film is in the technical stage.

The film focuses on terror acts while popular Iranian actors Babak Hamidiyan and Hadi Hejazifar are to star in it.

Karen's professional career began in 1994 in film Industry, where he composed at least 30 movies and TV series scores and was awarded twice for best music composition from various film events in Iran and abroad.

‘Flight in the Levant Time’ director also has so far received several domestic and international awards for ‘In the Name of My Father’, ‘Red Ribbon’, ‘The Glass Agency’, ‘From Karkheh to Rhine’, ‘Mohajer (Immigrant)’, ‘The Scout’, ‘The Purple’, and ‘Che (Chamran)’.

Hatamikia’s last film ‘Bodyguard’ has been shown in many countries, including Germany, Canada, Australia, Britain, Lebanon, Syria and Afghanistan.
