Iranian animated product ‘The Elephant King’ with the largest number of characters is slated to be featured at the 2017 Fajr International Film Festival held in Iran.
Produced by Iran-based Honar Pooya Group, the production team for the animation decided to withdraw from the 35 Fajr Film Festival to work more on the quality of the film before its attendance at the international version of the event.
Running for 90 mins in collaboration with a team of 150 professionals, the animated film has the largest number of characters among Iranian animations.
Honar Pooya Group promotes the motto of “Bring Your Children to Cinema with Peace of Mind”. The private sector company has already made the successful animated movie ‘Princess of Rome’. The film narrates the life of a Christian princess, Malika, mother of Muslim Imam al-Mahdi and granddaughter of Caesar of Rom.
Set in Africa, the animation film ‘The Elephant King’ narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.
The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne. The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all.
The animation will be dubbed in Persian, Arabic, English and French and screened internationally in a number of countries.
The FIFF and Fajr Film Festival are Iran's annual film festivals, held every April and February, respectively.
