Famous British quality daily, The Telegraph, said in a recent report that Iran is the “biggest untapped skiing destination” in the world.
The report published Friday said Iran is home to "untapped off-piste areas that are accessed by lift, but most skiers and snowboarders have probably never heard of them, ”adding , the altitudes of ski areas in the country beat “those of even the highest resorts in the Alps.”
Phil Smith, head of a ski courses provider based in the UK, was also quoted as saying that "skiing in Iran offers a true adventure, combining amazing culture and unforgettable skiing experiences.”
Iran is home to a great number of impressive ski resorts including the main four called Dizin, Shemshak, Darbandsar and Tochal.
In 2016, the Barin Hotel in Shemshak hit the headlines across the globe when it was billed as one of the coolest ski hotels ever built.
