Iran short film to vie at US Fest

Iranian short film ‘Gaze’ has been scheduled to go on the silver screen at the 31st edition of the American Film Institute Festival in Hollywood, the US.

Iran's internationally successful short film ‘Gaze’ is to shine at the competition section of the US event in California.

The short film depicts the story of a woman who on her way back home learns about an incident on the bus. She is undecided whether to reveal the issue or not.

‘Gaze’, written by Ali Asgari and directed by Farnoush Samadi, has so far represented Iran at a number of globally acclaimed film festivals, including the 70th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland and the 34th edition of the Tehran Short Film Festival in Iran.

The 2017 edition of the American Film Institute Festival is slated for November 9-16, 2017, in Hollywood, the US.
