Iran and China state news agencies have held a joint photo exhibition at an event in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
The exhibition of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and China’s Xinhua is currently being staged in the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (Grand Mosque) on the sidelines of the 23rd Press Exhibition.
The multi-national event, which kicked off in Tehran of Friday, aims to boost relations between the official media of Iran and China.
Earlier in August, the two media organizations collaborated on a similar photo exhibition at the 24th China International Book Fair in Beijing. Over 100 photos featuring the two countries' cultural, political, historical, and sports themes as well as natural attractions were put to display.
The agreement on holding the joint photo exhibition was finalized in Beijing in July, during a meeting between IRNA Managing Director Mohammad Khoddadi and his counterpart in Xinhua, Cai Ming Zhhao.
IRNA has been busy this year in staging similar joint photo exhibitions with other countries, including with the Korean state news agency, Yonhap, in September. The event was held simultaneously in the two countries' capitals.
