Iranian animation film ‘Bystander’ directed by Mohsen Bagheri Dastgerdi has won the Grand Prix Award at the Open Air Short Film Festival in Belarus.
The 3-minute long animation production won the top prize in the international competition that included films from around the world.
‘Bystander’ is a cinematic depiction of society that does not accept differences and is heading for annihilation.
The Belarusian festival is divided into two main sections: International Competition – for short films (under 5 minutes) from all over the world and Home Competition – for short films (under 5 minutes) from Belarusian filmmakers.
Screening of the 2nd Open Air Short Film Festival (OASFF) took place at Minsk’s Museum of Belarusian Cinema on October 16, 2017.
