Iranian documentary film titled ‘The Old Green Tree’ has won an award from the Five Continents International Film Festival (FICOCC).
Directed by Iranian Sina Eskandari, ‘The Old Green Tree’ brought home the best half-length film from the prestigious online film festival recently.
The film also found its way to the competition section of Barcelona Planet Film Festival and semi-final section of Los Angeles CineFest, according to Iran’s Cultural Office in Madrid.
‘The Old Green Tree’, produced by Aras Pourbijan, narrates the life story of Beatriz Salas, the translator of Shahnameh, an epic poem written by the well-known Iranian poet Ferdowsi.
Iran’s cinema has received various international awards for its valuable human representations.
