Iran doc ‘Alone among the Taliban’ directed by Mohsen Eslamzadeh is now streaming on US e-commerce giant Amazon.
The prime menu of the leading e-commerce platform in the world offers the film which features Iranian filmmaker Eslamzadeh’s several journeys to Afghanistan in order to get a privileged grant of permission to film the Taliban.
The doc running for 51 minutes shows shocking scenes captured by under the flimsy protection of the director’s undercover status.
In April, Iranian documentary ‘Alone among the Taliban’ has received the best documentary award at the Athens International Film and Video Festival (AIFVF) in the United States.
In its domestic screening, the film was first screened in the ninth edition of Iran’s International Documentary Film Festival ‘Cinema Verite’ in December 2015, winning the International Shahid Avini Award for the Best Mid-Length Documentary.
