US acquires Iran film ‘No Date, No Signature’

Vahid Jalilvand’s Iranian cinematic offering 'No Date, No Signature' has landed at Distrib Films US for domestic distribution in the US.

Internationally acclaimed Iranian film 'No Date, No Signature' gave the US rights to New York-based leading film distributor Distrib Films US, an exclusive media report said Thusrday.

Distrib Films US is a tasteful and leading distributor of high-quality films in the US a distributor that typically handles French titles in the US. Distrib Films US has opened the 3D conversion of Terminator 2: Judgement Day in several hundred AMC theaters.

“No Date, No Signature” bagged best actor and best director awards for Jalilvand and Navid Mohammadzadeh, respectively, in the Horizons section of 2017 Venice Film Festival.

This comes as Palm Springs International Film Festival will host the screenings of the Iranian notable flick in January 2018.

A festival's synopsis described the story as follows: “Seemingly minor traffic collision binds together the fates of two Iranian men in this grounded and complex film.”

The brief description lauded the flick, adding, “Strong performances by the two leads (one of whom took home Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival) anchor Vahid Jalilvand’s exploration of obsession and responsibility.

Besides Navid Mohammadzadeh, some key cast of the flick include Amir Aghaee, Hediyeh Tehrani and Saeed Dakh.
