Tehran honors Iranian calligrapher

Prominent Iranian calligrapher Yadollah Kaboli-Khansari has been honored at an event in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

The renowned Iranian calligrapher was paid tribute to at Tehran’s Imam Ali(AS) Religious Arts Museum on Wednesday, on the occasion of his 68th birthday.

Kaboli’s innovative works are in the style of contemporary Shekasteh (broken) Nastaliq, also known as Cursive Nastaliq.

The artist is a member of the board of trustees of the Society of Iranian Calligraphers. He is also a recipient of the First Degree Art Certificate issued by the Evaluation Council of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

He has held international shows in London, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Paris, New York, Dubai, Rome and Madrid.
