Art installations by Iranian artist Mehran Malek are set to be showcased in a solo exhibition held in the capital Tehran.
Mess Negar Gallery will host the astounding art exhibition that has taken a fresh approach to Visual Arts as well as installation art with a total of 50 art installations and statues going on display for 4 days from January 27, 2017.
In ‘Dream of the Lake’ art show, the artist chose fish as the theme of his works and according to Malek, nostalgic concepts and feelings are conveyed through his artworks along with visualization of lakes.
The lakes in which fish are not caught any more, though they catch the viewer’s eye, the artist who is a faculty member at an Iranian University also said about the show.
Mess Negar Gallery was established in 1989, aiming to showcase prominent works of Iranian contemporary artists.
Installation art is an artistic genre of three-dimensional works that are often site-specific and designed to transform the perception of a space.
