‘Cousin & Cousine’ on Iran bestselling list

Iran film ‘Cousin & Cousine’ has been listed among high grossing films of the week.

Directed by Roohangiz Shams, the movie's weekend gross reached 1,982,010,000 Rials which levels it up to third place among bestselling films of the week in Iran. So far, the flick’s total gross has reached 2,258,790,000 Rials, a local media reported.  

The film highlights the challenges that a young married couple face when confronted by their families. Since the couple are cousins the problems are more complicated.

The comedy movie features actors such as Majid Salehi, Fatemeh Goudarzi, Mariam Amir Jalali, Laleh Marzban, Mahmoud Azizi, Niusha Zeyghami and Nasim Forough.

Other high grossing movies of the Iranian box office for this week are respectively ‘Side Mirror’ directed by Manouchehr Hadi, (Weekly gross: 16,209,250,000 Rials, Total gross: 97,233,970,000 Rials), ‘Blockage’ directed by Mohsen Gharaei, (Weekly gross: 2,471,760,000 Rials, Total gross: 5,138,230.000 Rials), 'Khaltour’ directed by Arash Moayerian, (Weekly gross: 1,553,080,000 Rials, Total gross: 63,177,090,000 Rials) 'Domestic Killer', directed by Masoud Kimiai, (Weekly gross: 1,484,930,000 Rials, Total gross: 21,019,030,000 Rials).
