The actress, Iran Sailors’ Guild Love Ambassador, confirmed the death of the crew on Sanchi tanker and wrote “We can neither scream, nor cry. We can neither curse the sea, the earth and the time nor can we simmer down the fire within. We spin around these unkind times and remember our dreams and hopes, just like a phoenix."
Alongside all the mournful people of Iran, I offer my deep condolences to the families of the brave sailors and also pray for their patience."
Born in 1962, Motamed-Arya is an Iranian actress whose first work for television was in the puppet show ‘School of Mice’ in 1982. She made her cinematic debut with ‘Struggle’ in 1986.

The Sanchi oil tanker, carrying 136,000 tons of condensate from Iran to South Korea, caught fire on January 6 after it collided with the CF Crystal, a Hong Kong-registered bulk freighter, about 160 nautical miles (184 km) off China's coast near Shanghai.
