Iran short shines at Lithuanian fest

Iranian short film ‘Numbness’ has succeeded to receive Best Sound Award from the 3rd edition of the Wolves Independent International Film Festival (WIIFF) in Lithuania.

Directed by Milad Jarmooz, ‘Numbness’ won Best Sound Award from the 2017 summer edition of the Lithuanian film event, the festival’s website announced recently.

“Setareh is silent. Just one person knows the reason for her silence,” a short synopsis for the flick read.

So far, ‘Numbness’ has attended more than 30 international festivals all around the world including Scotland, the US, Nigeria, Australia, Italy, India, UK, Ireland, Ukraine, Indonesia, Sweden and Pakistan.

Wolves Independent International Film Festival was established in 2015. It is a non-profit film organization for professional filmmakers.

WIIFF is located in a nice village called Saldutiškis in Lithuania. It is a three-day film event which showcases films about nature, heritage, environment, history, culture, ethnography, adventure, wildlife, indigenous cultures and social issues.

WIIFF is a seasonal film event being held four times a year.
