Mahtab Soleimani’s documentary ‘Compatriot’ has been accepted for participation in the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival.
The short documentary ‘Compatriot’ follows the story of an Afghan refugee who is forced to leave Afghanistan and take refuge in Iran at the start of the war with the Soviets.
The film is Mahtab Soleimani’s first cinematic experiance; though, it has been scheduled to appear at another international film festival this year.
The documentary has been qualified for the 2018 edition of the World Wide Women’s Film Festival to be held in the US state of Arizona from February 9-10.
The Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival screens more than 30 films from different parts of the world. Films are chosen with the theme of human rights.
The 6th edition of the Nepalese film festival will be held in the capital city, Kathmandu, from March 7-10.
