Serbia fest screens ‘Kupal’

Iranian film ‘Kupal’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 46th edition of Belgrade International Film Festival.

Directed by Kazem Mollai ‘Kupal’ will be screened at the 46th edition of Serbian Int’l film event.

The flick narrates the story of Dr. Ahmad Koupal, who is a taxidermist hunter, as he faces a challenge just before the New Year.

“You cannot be alone in the world,” Mollai, noted, giving a clue to the philosophical origin of the film, adding that, “The world is a strange place. Here, whoever shoots is the one who gets killed.”

Notable cast members of the film include Levon Haftvan, Nazanin Farahani, Pouria Rahimi Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi, Vahan Salimzadeh and Mitra Asiaee.

Founded in 1971, Belgrade International Film Festival has been successful to gather many illustrious international actors and directors together. Although the festival was created more than 40 years ago, it continues to fulfill its cultural and educational role with the same energy in extending the horizons of all film fans.

The event has been slated for February 23- March 4, 2018 in Belgrade, Serbia.
