Social genre rules Fajr filmfest day 7

Iranian feature films ‘Nostalgia Celebration’, ‘Mahoura’, and ‘Highlight’ have been scheduled to be screened on day seventh of the 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

The Iranian feature films in the field of social genre are in the list of screenings for the seventh day of Iran’s most prestigious film event.

‘Nostalgia Celebration’ directed by Pouria Azarbaijani is about the genuine relationship among human beings and how this issue has been dominated by Cyberspace.  

‘Highlight’ directed by Asghar Naeimi is a romantic drama. It contains strong social theme and follows different romance stories.

‘Mahoura’ directed by Hamid Zargarnejad depicts the story of a border village in Iran where people have a strange local custom.

Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 36th edition of the Fajr Film Festival is being held across Iran from February 1, 2018. The event will come to an end on February 11.
