Iranian animation ‘Junk Girl’ has been picked to vie at the Piggy Bank International Short Film Festival in India.
Directed by Shalale Kheiri and Mohammad Zare, the multi-award-winning Iranian animation will compete with more than 60 other short films from various countries.

The flick’s story is inspired from a poem by Tim Burton titled ‘The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories’.
The 15-minute animation has so far gone on to win over 33 awards from multiple film festivals around the world.
Piggy Bank International Short Film Festival promotes both amateur and professional, independent films.
