Digital Media Contest to host 17 states

An official affiliated to the 4th International Cartoon Contest ‘Digital Media’ in Iran has announced that the event is to host artists from 17 countries.

Head of Tabriz cartoonists association Rahim Baqqal-Asghari said on Tuesday that artists from Iran, Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Italy, Macedonia, Peru, Poland, Serbia, Syria, Montenegro, Ukraine and the US have so far submitted their works.

The contest will center around the fields of Internet, social networking, digital games, mobile, computer, digital life, data sharing, online kids, and privacy policy, he added.

The International Cartoon, Digital Media Contest is scheduled to take place in Tabriz in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan May 5-10, 2018.

All artists from around the world as well as cartoonists, caricaturists, painters, illustrators, are welcome to submit their entries before April 9.

Some of the accepted works will be printed in a brochure, on posters, in the world press or other printed matter, bringing further exposure for eager artists.

Awards are bestowed upon winners of the event, with a cash endowment as part of the package.
