The Beirut International Women’s Film Festival (BWFF) in Lebanon has set to screen Iranian movie 'Crimson Trauma'.
Directed by Esmaeil Mihandoust, the movie will go on screen at the 2018 edition of the Lebanese event.
'Crimson Trauma' tells a love story within the bounds of an urban trip in Tehran. It is about different aspects of a mother's life with a thematic and amusing narrative.
Notable among the cast are Parivash Nazariyeh, Atash Taqipour, Reza Kianian, Mahtab Keramati, Vishka Asayesh, Baran Kosari, Mahvash Afshahrpanah, and Aban Hooseinabadi.
The BWFF will also screen Iranian documentary 'Weavers of Imagination' directed by Mohammad Seddiq-Jafari.
The fest is an annual event held in Beirut; gathering filmmakers and cinema lovers from all over the world. BWFF tackles issues such gender equality, domestic violence among others through the power of the lens and cinema, which is the window to society and particularly women in this case.
The 2018 edition of the festival is slated for March 13-18, 2018.
