Iran 'The Train' to compete at Greek event

Iranian short film 'The Train' by Javad Matouri has been chosen to screen at a film festival in Greece.

Matouri's short will go on screen at the Athens AnimFest, which will be held in the Greek capital from March 15-18.

'The Train' is about a person riding a flying bicycle in the sky, full of happiness. During the story, we realize that not all is as it seems. Gradually, we realize he is trapped in a slaver's cycle.

The short film has won the Silver Prize for the best visual effects award from the 10th Tehran International Animation Festival in 2016.

Other Iranian films will be screened at the Greek event, including 'Alphabet' by Kianoush Abedi, 'Blows with the Wind' by Hajir Asadi, and 'Empty View' by Ali Zare Qanatnoei, among others.

Films from Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, the US, Estonia and several other countries will be screened during the event as well.
