Iran has held a cinematic workshop on the sidelines of Iranian Film Festival at a Malaysian Academy, ASWARA.
Over 100 filmmaking students and teachers attended the workshop that was launched on the sidelines of the first Iranian Film Festival in Malaysia.
Iranian director Abolhasan Davoudi and Iranian actress Azita Hajian are the two big names of Iran film industry who shared wisdom on filmmaking with the attendees.
Born in 1956, Abolhasan Davoudi is an Iranian director, scriptwriter and producer. He has directed so many successful movies such as the award-winning 'Crazy Rook', 'Birthplace', 'Intersection', 'Rain Man'.
Some of his works have been nominated for a crystal Simorgh in Iran's Fajr festivals.
Azita Hajian is an Iranian theater, cinema and TV actress. She has appeared in several films including 'The Magic Journey', 'Actor', and 'Snowman'.
The first Iranian Film Festival is underway in three Malaysian cities, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor.
The movies screened at the event are ‘The Sweet Taste of Imagination’ by Kamal Tabrizi, ‘Queen’ by Mohammad Ali Bashe Ahangar, Abolhassan Davoudi's ‘Crazy Rook’ , and Kioumars Pourahmad's ‘Where Are My Shoes’.
The event is aimed at expanding mutual cultural ties, as well as promoting Iranian cinema industry among the Malaysian people and cineastes.
The first Iranian Film festival is underway March 7-17, 2018.
