Iran documentary ‘Weavers of Imagination’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 5th edition of Ethnografilm Festival in Paris.
Directed by Mohammad-Sadeq Jafari, ‘Weavers of Imagination’ is to represent Iran at the French film event.
The documentary tells the story of a number of blind people who devise a Braille plan for weaving a carpet.
It also depicts the good relationship and the happy moments that they have when they get together.
The documentary has so far succeeded to receive Best Documentary Awards from the first edition of the Lifft India World Festival held in Lonavla, a region near Mumbai.
‘Weavers of Imagination’ was also selected for screening at the main section of the Zlatna Anthropology Festival in Romania in 2017.
Ethnografilm festival is co-sponsored by the International Social Science Council (ISSC) and the Society for Social Studies of Science.
It celebrates the art and science of non-fiction filmmaking and promote the field of video ethnography, serving as a showcase for work and forum for dialog between independent and academic documentary filmmakers.
The 5th edition of Ethnografilm Festival is slated for April 4-7, 2018, in Paris, France
