Iran short film ‘Retouch’ has brought home its 30th international award, from the 10th edition of the Short Waves Festival in Poland.
Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the movie won the ‘2nd Best Film’ award from the Polish short film event.
Co-produced by Mazaheri and the Iranian Young Cinema Society, ‘Retouch’ tells the story of a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes while she cannot do anything but to witness unfolding of the tragic event.
'Retouch' has recently won a series of top prizes from other international festivals, including the 4th Short Movie Club Film Festival in Belarus, the 9th session of Cinalfama Lisbon’s International Film Festival in Portugal, and the 16th Audi Dublin International Film Festival in Ireland.
The Short Waves Festival’s core consists of competition screenings in the five categories of International Competition, Polish Competition, Dances with Camera, Urban View and Best of Ten.
The 10th edition of the festival commenced on March 20 and wrapped up on March 25, 2018, in Poznan, Poland.
