Finland world-renowned director, Jorn Johan Donner has been invited to hold workshops on the sidelines of the 36th Fajr International Film Festival in the Iranian capital Tehran.
Johan Donner is a Swedish-speaking Finnish writer, film director, actor and producer.
He is best known as the producer of 'Fanny and Alexander' which was directed by Ingmar Bergman. The flick won him an Oscar and the only Finn to receive the award for the best foreign language film.
Jorn Donner has been a prolific writer and cinematographer and has won several awards for his works of art.
Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th edition of the festival runs April 19-27, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
