Ireland's Oscar representative 'Song of Granite' is slated to participate at the Fajr Int'l Film Festival.
Co-produced by Ireland and Canada with release date in 2017, the movie will compete at the 36th edition of Fajr International Film Festival.
Directed by Pat Collins, 'Song of Granite' was introduced to the best foreign language film section of the Academy Awards 2017 as Ireland's representative.
Established in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.
Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.
Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the 36th edition of the festival runs April 19-27, 2018 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
