Jury members for First Movie section of the 36th Fajr International Film Festival have been announced.
A congregation of three jury members have been selected to pick and award the best first movie of the festival to be held in the Iranian capital of Tehran.
Mohammad-Ali Bashe-Ahangar (Iranian director), Barmak Akram (Afghani filmmaker), and Viera Langerova (Slav film critic) comprise the Jury.
This is the first year that the festival has adopted First Movie award.
Fajr International Filmfest pays tribute to quality local and international films. It is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and showcases films promoting artistic contribution to the medium.
Directed by well-known Iranian helmer Reza Mirkarimi, 2018 edition of Fajr International Film Festival is slated for April 19-27, 2018.
