France Film Week 'Rencontres du cinema Francais' has been inaugurated in the Iranian capital Tehran.
This is the third year that Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts in collaboration with the Cultural Services of France Embassy have organized the France Cinema week in order to promote the French cinema among the Iranian people.
The event was launched Monday April 16, 2018 with the screening of 'The Wild Child' which is a 1970 84-minute-film directed by Francois Truffaut.
In the remaining nights of the week, films such as 'The Silence of the Sea' directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, Nicolas Philibert's 'In the Land of the Deaf', Robert Bresson's 'Pickpocket' and 'A Screaming Man' directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun will be screened.
Jean-Michel Frodon, former chief editor of Cahiers du cinema magazine in Paris will attend all screenings. All movies will have a follow-up review session.
'Rencontres du cinema Francais is underway in Tehran April 16-18, 2018.
