One of recent ifilm picks for the weekend ‘Bodyguard’ directed by Ebrahim Hatamikia opens Iranian Film Festival in Venezuela.
The film event titled “The Month of Iranian Cinema” recently featured Hatakimai’s 2015 offering in opening held in Venezuela's capital, Caracas.
The fest running for a month till May 20, 2018 will showcase a collection of 30 Iranian cinema works depicted in features and shorts.
“The Month of Iranian Cinema” aims to introduce Iran cinema, raising awareness of Venezuelan people on the country’s arts and culture.
'Bodyguard' narrates the story of a middle-aged man who protects high-ranking political figures.
He gets into trouble when a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest approaches the vice president. He then has to evaluate the values that he sacrifices for.
'Bodyguard’ has so far been shown in a number of countries, including Germany, Canada, Australia, Britain, Lebanon, Syria and Afghanistan.
The movie cast list includes Babak Hamidiyan, Parviz Parastoui, Merila Zarei, Amir Aqaee, Mohammad Hatami, Shila Khodadad, Parivash Nazariyeh, Farhad Qaemian, Mahmoud Azizi, and Kimia Hosseini.
