A banquet of consequences in ‘Brother’: iFilm cut

Masoud is to find himself lost in the wilderness of his wrong decisions in tonight’s episode of iFilm English TV Channel’s series ‘Brother’ to be aired at 21:00 GMT.

When faced with the choice between his family and the woman he loves dearly, he made the unfortunate decision to pick the wrong side.

This gamble on love cost him his family, as his bad choices and mistakes led to his father having a fatal heart attack.

Later on, Masoud decides to marry Nazi, a woman seeking revenge against Haj Kazem Pahlevan for her mother's death.

It becomes evident that Nazi's intentions are not to live happily ever after with Masoud, but rather to cause misery to his family.

Directed by Javad Afshar, the series is about Haj Kazem Pahlavan, a reputable merchant in Tehran’s rice bazaar, who is all about supporting domestic production and trades nothing but Iranian rice.

This puts him at odds with his disgruntled son, Nasser, who thinks making a profit is the only thing that matters.

In the meantime, his daughter, Maryam, a passionate young journalist, is conducting her own investigation into the expired and contaminated foreign rice flooding the market. To her surprise, all the clues lead to her own brother, Nasser.

What ensues is a power struggle between good and evil, in a story of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

Hassan Pourshirazi, Hossein Yari, Pouriya Poursorkh, Reza Tavakkoli, Gelareh Abbasi, Majid Vasheqani, Soheila Razavi, and Kaveh Khoda-Shenas are on the cast list of the series.

Each episode of the 29-part series will be repeated the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00.
