iFilm English TV to air ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’

iFilm English TV Channel is scheduled to air the first episode of Iranian social comedy ‘Shams-ol-Emareh’.

Produced by Ramin Abbasizadeh and directed by Saman Moqaddam, the first episode of the series hits the air at 20:00 GMT on July 27, 2024.

Each part of the show is repeated the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00.

In 'Shams-ol-Emareh', after Leila's father passes away, he leaves her a significant inheritance, which includes a family mansion called Shams-ol-Emareh. However, there is a condition for her to receive the mansion, and that is her marriage.

That might not be a problem for most other girls, but Leila has always presented herself as an independent female with no interest in ever getting married. Now, she faces a tough choice.

Will she sacrifice her beliefs for her inheritance, or stay single?

The most notable figures on the cast list are Hanieh Tavassoli, Roya Teymourian, Arjang Amir-Fazli, Farhad Ayeesh, Marjaneh Golchin, Mehraneh Mahin-Torabi, Amir-Hossein Rostami, Masoud Rayegan, Melika Sharifinia, Neda Maqsoudi, Soroush Sehhat, Nima Shahrokh-Shahi, Nima Banki, Ali Qorbanzadeh, Kourosh Tahami, Kamran Tafti and Amin Hayaee.

‘Shams-ol-Emareh’, which was made in 2009 and has 49 episodes, replaces ‘The Postgraduates’.
