The series, directed by Saeed Soltani and produced by Ali Maham, tells the story of serfdom during a time in Iran’s history. A couple is killed in an accident, but their children believe that foul play was involved.

They try to find out more about their family and discover the reason for their parents’ death by reviewing the diary of their grandmother, Shahrbanou.

The most notable on the cast list are Sorayya Qasemi, Jahangir Almasi, Shahab Hosseini, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Behzad Farahani, Marjan Mohtasham, Kioumars Malek-Motiee, and Saba Kamali.

Katayoun Riahi, Jamileh Sheikhi, Rahim Norouzi, Ramin Parchami, Mahvash Sabrkon, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Fatemeh Taheri, Fath-Ali Oveisi, Mahnaz Ansarian, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeishi, and Nadia Deldar-Golchin are also among the main cast of the series.
