Tafti, Ammar (born December 24, 1981, Taft) 

Ammar Tafti Dehqan has a high-school diploma from the IRIB art school, and a Bachelor's degree in Cinema at the Tehran University of Arts.

His debut movie was 'Iliya, the Young Painter' (1992), directed by Abu al-Hassan Dawoudi.

By playing a role in the TV series 'Basement' (2006), he became famous.

Tafti has taken part in several television films, such as 'Idle Talk' (2011), 'Ball, Kick, Glass' (2011) and 'The Color of Pomegranates' (2012).

He has also appeared in various TV series, including 'On Foot' (2005), 'The Forbidden Fruit' (2007), 'Building No.85' (2009), 'The Third Line' (2010) and 'The Color of Doubt' (2014).

' The Bread and the Flowerpot' (1995), 'Bread, Love and a 1000cc Bike' (2000), 'A Place to Live' (2003), 'Welcome to Tehran' (2012) and 'Mazar-e-Sharif' (2013-2014) are among his movies.

Besides acting, he has also worked as a scenic design assistant, assistant director, scenic designer and costume designer. He has also taught theater acting.

He won the Best Actor in a Leading Role Award for his performance in the play 'Minoo Plain' at the 3rd Ashura Rituals Conference.
