The historical series, produced by Mohammad-Reza Takhtkeshian and directed by the late Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri, will start airing on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
In this series, Farrokh Bastani is a poor young man who goes to Paris to continue his studies. Suffering from World War I, Farrokh has to deal with several problems in France. He marries a French girl and finds his way to the Iranian Embassy in Paris.
Returning to Iran, the Iranian state minister appoints him as governor of a little county. Now he is decided to rebuild the county in modern and western style.
Notable on the cast list are Hessam Navvab-Safavi, Rose Razavi, Daryoush Farhang, Sara Monjezi, the late Mahchehreh Khalili, Anahita Nemati, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Reza Kianian, the late Davoud Rashidi, Sara Khoueeniha, Gohar Kheirandish, Shaqayeq Farahani, Merila Zarei, Amin Hayaee, Farhad Ayeesh, Amir-Hossein Arman, and Sorayya Qasemi.
‘The Pahlavi Hat’, made in 2012, will replace ‘Certified Copy’, which will be aired daily at 23:00 GMT.
iFilm English will also repeat each episode of the historical drama on the next day at 05:00, 11:00 and 17:00 (all GMT times). The series comprises 54 episodes.
