On the fifth day of the prestigious event, Iranian theater enthusiasts gathered to watch the street performance 'Qasem Soleimani's Gift to My Daughter' on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
During the play, one of General Soleimani's speeches was broadcast.
In an interview with Iran Press news agency, the writer of the play Kazem Arjmandni said it is anyone's duty to commemorate Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani.
Also, 'Sardare Bisar' (Beheaded Commander) written by Saeed Zabihi, and directed by Ali Zabihi, and 'Takom' by Moeen Jafari, written by Ali Biverdi from Ahar, were other street plays enacted at Roudaki Hall campus in Tehran.
The 41st edition of the Fajr International Theater Festival is directed by Kourosh Zarei. The major theater event is being held in Iranian capital city of Tehran from January 15 to 31.
The event is hosting 40 plays in the national competition, and 23 troupes will give performances in the international competition.
Foreign troupes from Brazil, Russia, Oman, Spain, Iraq, Armenia, Tunisia, and Jordan have taken part in the artistic event. Several theater experts from Ireland, Serbia, Algeria and Russia will also hold workshops during the festival.
The event features a scientific section during which twenty papers from ten Muslim countries are slated to be presented on January 27 and 28.
