‘Chimney’ series branches out into sequel

ifilm comedy series ‘Chimney’ goes into a sequel with the original’s screenwriter being at the helm of the project.

The shooting stage of the project will begin soon in one of the Iranian provinces following the pre-production stage being under wraps with no information revealed to the media.

Borzou Niknejad who was the screenwriter in the original changed seat in the sequel, taking up the project as the director.

“Effat and Firouz own a carpet cleaning center, which is also their home. Firouz’s sister is married to Effat’s brother and the two men cannot get along with each other. Both families are constantly in need of money. Their financial situation gets even worse when officials seal their carpet cleaning center. But the families have to face their problems and manage to find a way out together,” a short synopsis for the original reads.
