A search amidst chaos: iFilm cut from ‘In the Eye of the Storm’

In the 38th episode of iFilm series ‘In the Eye of the Storm’, to be aired tonight at 22:00 GMT (1:30 Tehran time), Bijan, who has returned to his war-torn country after 30 years, embarks on a quest to reunite with his sister, beloved Leili, and to meet his son for the first time.

Bijan is wandering from door to door, and street to street, in search for his family amidst the chaos and turbulence of war.

Torn apart by conflict, yet, amidst the devastation, life continues. People are trying to find moments of happiness.

While Bijan finds solace in witnessing the joyous sight of a bride and groom riding in a car, a sudden alarm shatters the moment. Unexpectedly, an explosion rocks the area, tearing apart a nearby home.

Bijan's determination as both a doctor and a civilian come to the fore. His instinctive reaction is to rush to the aid of those affected.

Through the smoke and debris, Bijan spots a child trapped amidst the fire. With courage and determination, he dashes forward, rescuing the innocent child.

As a doctor, he administers artificial breath to save the child's life, but the moment is not without its emotional impact.

Cradling the child in his arms, Bijan is reminded of the immense void in his life — the longing to meet the son he has never seen, and the pain of losing touch with his wife, Leili, all those years ago.

'In the Eye of the Storm' is a captivating television series, produced by Masoud Jafari-Jozani, Abbas Akbari, Habibollah Kasehsaz, and Reza Ansarian, with Jafari-Jozani at the helm as the director.

The series chronicles a significant period in Iran's history, spanning from the early twentieth century revolutionary movements led by national hero Mirza Koochak Khan to the liberation of Khoramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s.

Through the lens of one Iranian family, the series delves into their trials and tribulations, exploring the complexities of love and relationships amidst the backdrop of historical events.
