iFilm Arabic to offer ‘After the Rain’

Arabic speaking iFilm audience will get to watch ‘After the Rain’ every evening from August 29.

To respond to a plethora of requests pouring in for the series to make a comeback on air, star-studded ‘After the Rain’ is set to be rebroadcast in both iFilm English and Arabic TV channels. However, the Arabic version will be launched on August 29 and the English one a bit later on September 27.

iFilmers, who will follow the show in Arabic, can watch it daily at 18:00 GMT. Each episode will be repeated three times after the original screening at 00:00, 06:00 and 12:00 (all GMT times).

The air time for English version will be announced later.  

Directed by Saeed Soltani, the series narrates the story of serfdom during a time in Iran’s history. A couple is killed in an accident, but their children believe that somebody had tampered with their car brake.

They try to find out more about their family and discover the reason for their parents’ death by reviewing the diary of their grandmother, Shahrbanou.

Notable in the series cast list are Sorayya Qasemi, Jahangir Almasi, Shahab Hosseini, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Behzad Farahani, Marjan Mohtasham, the late Kioumars Malek-Motiee, and Saba Kamali.

Katayoun Riahi, the late Jamileh Sheykhi, Rahim Norouzi, Ramin Parchami, Mahvash Sabrkon, Pourandokht Mohaymen, the late Fatemeh Taheri, Fath-Ali Oveisi, Mahnaz Ansarian, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeyshi, and the late Nadia Deldar-Golchin are also among the main cast of the series.
