‘After the Rain’ to pose dilemma of life and death

The 25th episode of iFilm's period drama ‘After the Rain’ is to pose a dilemma of life and death for Shahrbanou.

Shahrbanou has been framed to be disloyal to the lord. Although he does not believe that his wife could dishonor him, he has to go along with the public and shun his wife.

Disagreeing that Shahrbanou has disgraced the family, Khanoum Bas is stretching her helping hand towards the poor innocent woman. She offers Setareh’s mother to run away, save her life, and leave her little daughter.

It is now up to Shahrbanou to stay and defend her innocence or run away and stay alive.

Directed by Saeed Soltani, the series narrates the story of serfdom during a time in Iran’s history. A couple is killed in an accident, but their children believe that somebody had tampered with their car brake.

They try to find out more about their family and discover the reason for their parents’ death by reviewing the diary of their grandmother, Shahrbanou.

Katayoun Riahi, Jamileh Sheykhi, Rahim Norouzi, Ramin Parchami, Mahvash Sabrkon, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Fatemeh Taheri, Fath-Ali Oveisi, Mahnaz Ansarian, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeyshi, and Nadia Deldar-Golchin are also on the cast list.
