Farewell and fractures in ‘After the Rain’

In the 32nd episode of iFilm's period drama ‘After the Rain’ to be aired at 20:00 GMT, a heartbreaking farewell is on the horizon.

Farrokh's actions have pushed the situation to its limits, and it's time for Khanoum Bas and Shahrbanou to part ways.  

The bond between Khanoum Bas and Shahrbanou has been a testament to the strength of their characters and the complexities of their relationship as co-wives.

As they prepare to say their goodbyes, the question is if Farrokh can truly let go of Shahrbanou.

Directed by Saeed Soltani, the series narrates the story of serfdom during a time in Iran’s history. A couple is killed in an accident, but their children believe that somebody had tampered with their car brake.

They try to find out more about their family and discover the reason for their parents’ death by reviewing the diary of their grandmother, Shahrbanou.

Notable on the cast list are Sorayya Qasemi, Jahangir Almasi, Shahab Hosseini, Mahmoud Pakniyyat, Behzad Farahani, Marjan Mohtasham, Kioumars Malek-Motiee, and Saba Kamali.

Katayoun Riahi, Jamileh Sheykhi, Rahim Norouzi, Ramin Parchami, Mahvash Sabrkon, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Fatemeh Taheri, Fath-Ali Oveisi, Mahnaz Ansarian, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeyshi, and Nadia Deldar-Golchin are also on the cast list.

For those who might miss the original screening, each episode of the series will be repeated three times the next day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00 (all GMT times).
