iFilm English TV to air new series ‘Irandokht’

iFilm English TV Channel has been scheduled to air new historical drama ‘Irandokht’ from Thursday night.

Airing of the new series, produced by Mostafa Sharifi and directed by Mohammad-Reza Varzi, will be started on January 11, 2024.

‘Irandokht’ develops a romantic story in the then Iranian society, where Sattar Khan and his companions stood against the tyranny of the time.

The series portrays several chronological milestones in the contemporary history of Iran, including the constitutional years, historic events in Tabriz and the execution of Sheikh Fazlollah Nuri in Tehran.

It also touches upon the malicious parts played by the freemasonry in the contemporary Iranian history.

The most notable on the cast list are Pendar Akbari, Behzad Khodaveisi, Bita Farrahi, Farrokh Nemati, Masoud Abparvar, Saeed Nikpour, Iraj Rad, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Andisheh Fouladvand, Reza Fayyazi, Darioush Kardan, and Sadreddin Shajareh.

‘Irandokht’, made in 2017, will replace ‘The British Briefcase’, which will be aired daily at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the drama on the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00. The new series is comprised of 27 episodes.
