‘Irandokht’ develops a romantic story in the then-Iranian society, where Sattar Khan and his companions stood against the tyranny of the time.

The series portrays several chronological milestones in the contemporary history of Iran, including the constitutional years, historic events in Tabriz, and the execution of Sheikh Fazlollah Nuri in Tehran.

It also touches upon the malicious parts played by Freemasonry in contemporary Iranian history.

The most notable on the cast list are Pendar Akbari, Behzad Khodaveisi, Bita Farrahi, Farrokh Nemati, Masoud Abparvar, Saeed Nikpour, Iraj Rad, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Andisheh Fouladvand, Reza Fayyazi, Darioush Kardan, and Sadreddin Shajareh.
