iFilm English TV to air ‘Sheikh Bahaee’

iFilm English TV’s historical series ‘Sheikh Bahaee’ has been scheduled to go on air from February 12, 2024.

The series tells the story of Muslim scholar, philosopher, architect, mathematician, astronomer and poet Baha al‐Din Muhammad ibn Husayn al‐Amili, known as Sheikh Bahaee‎‎.

He lived in the late 16th and early 17th century in Iran during the Safavid era. He is considered one of the co-founders of the Isfahan School of Islamic Philosophy.

Produced by Habibollah Kasesaz and directed by Shahram Asadi, the series reviews two different stages of his life.

The cast list of the series includes Khosro Shakibaee, Danial Hakimi, Fatemeh Goudarzi, Saeed Amir-Soleymani, Changiz Vosouqi, Ali Nasiriyan, Ali Dehkordi, Atash Taqipour, Kourosh Tahami, Roya Teymourian, Ladan Mostofi, Zhaleh Olov, and Rahim Norouzi.

‘Sheikh Bahaee’, made in 2002, is scheduled to replace ‘Irandokht’, which airs daily at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the historical drama the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00. The series is comprised of 18 episodes.
